Marketing Coordinator (Canada Summer Jobs Program)
- Term: Late June–August 2026 (8 weeks), Temporary Full-Time
- Hours: 35 hours/week
- Compensation: $24/hour
- Reports to: Marketing and Membership Manager
The British Columbia Co-operative Association (BCCA) is the provincial association supporting and strengthening BC’s co-operatives and credit unions. We build awareness of the co-operative model, provide member programs and education, and connect co-ops across the province to help them thrive. We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented student to join our team for summer 2026. This role will support BCCA’s communications, storytelling, member engagement, and event planning efforts – including foundational work for our Fall 2026 provincial co-operative conference.
This position is ideal for a student interested in community economic development, communications, social purpose organizations, or the co-operative movement.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare materials and logistics support for Fall 2026 Co-op Conference planning
- Develop content for the “Co-ops, Built for Everyone” co-op success story series
- Support updates to the BCCA member benefits package and onboarding materials
- Assist with social media content, newsletters, and website updates
- Organize and catalogue photos and assets from BCCA events
- Support Mentorship Hour, webinars, and member engagement activities
- Assist with survey data compilation, simple analysis, and reporting
- Maintain directories, member resources, and CRM clean-up
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and highly organized
- Able to work independently in a remote environment
- Experience with Canva, social media, or basic website editing is an asset
- Interest in community development or co-ops is an asset

Canada Summer Jobs Program – Eligibility Requirements
This position is funded in part through the Canada Summer Jobs program. To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial legislation
