BCCA is scaling up government relations and looking to our members for direction! Over the next few months, we are establishing a formal process to ensure our GR work is driven by the priorities of our member co-operatives. The purpose of this communication is to introduce you to this new process, why it is important to our government relations work, and how you can participate in it.

This new process will build on the success of our current GR efforts, which have resulted in meetings with six Ministers and Parliamentary Secretaries in the past several months. While these meetings have been successful, and BCCA has made strides in advocating for Co-operatives in BC, we are now seeking specific policy priorities to guide our government relations and advocacy efforts. We know there are more policy issues facing BC co-operatives that must be addressed, and it is absolutely critical that our members set the direction. The deadline for submission is May 21, 2021
