The BCCA is pleased to welcome our newest member – Vancouver Artists Labour Union (VALU) Co-operative!

Valu Co-op is a unionized workers co-operative that operates a printing studio in Vancouver’s Chinatown. They do screen printing, heat press, buttons, stickers, masks, tees, and totes. Valu Co-op has a goal to transform labour practices within the arts and cultural sector to be equitable, community-oriented, and supportive of artists’ needs.

By providing artists and cultural workers with flexible, unionized, living wage work opportunities, they strive to end exploitative labour practices in our sector while supporting artists to do what they do best—make art.
