On June 26, BCCA sent its submission to the Select Standing Committee on Finance and Government Services as part of the Budget 2021 Consultation.
The document acknowledges the challenges BC has faced with the global pandemic and the economic downturn, and how co-ops are at the forefront of these challenges. The recommendations in the submission outline how co-ops can be supported to grow and develop to meet the challenges ahead.
Thank you to Jennifer Anthony of FleishmanHillard Highroad, and Ben Hyman, BCCA Board Chair, and John Kay, BCCA Vice Chair, for pulling this together in such a short time period. Thank you as well to BCCA’s GR and Member Outreach Committee on taking the lead on this initiative and ramping up our government relations efforts. This is only a first step, but it’s a big one!
