BCCA Board to work with FleishmanHillard HighRoad on government relations

| Business, Governance, Government

At their June 8 meeting, the BCCA Board of Directors approved establishing a relationship with FleishmanHillard HighRoad (FHR) to provide government relations (GR) support on key BCCA initiatives.

The FHR team has extensive experience providing strategic advice and support to organizations in a broad range of sectors seeking to influence government decision makers and to secure support and funding for diverse projects and priorities.

As outlined in our strategic plan, GR is a key focus area for BCCA and is becoming increasingly important as we discuss the role of co-ops in the economic recovery in BC. There have been many lessons learned through COVID, especially around senior care and foodservice and supply. As co-ops, we understand the resilience of the co-op model, particularly in offering solutions to some of the challenges identified in this crisis. We are excited to work with government to explore these opportunities and having the support of FHR in assisting with these discussions.

What are your GR issues?

BCCA has been collecting issues and concerns through discussions with many co-operatives over the past several weeks, and we invite you to contact us with specific issues you care about and believe should be part of our GR strategy.
