Spring is around the corner, and with it comes an exciting season for BCCA! We’ve been busy finalizing plans for our Co-ops Build a Better World Tour, and the response from the co-op community has been incredible. It’s been inspiring to see so many people come together to champion co-operative solutions. We’re thrilled to have film screenings confirmed across the province, and I hope to see many of you on the road as we spark conversations about the power of co-ops. With economic challenges continuing to impact communities—including tariffs and shifting market conditions—there’s never been a more important time to explore different ways of doing business. Co-ops offer a time-tested way to strengthen local economies and keep wealth in our communities. This tour is about more than just watching films—it’s about connecting, sharing ideas, and inspiring action. I can’t wait to see the energy and collaboration that comes from these events.
We’re also looking for passionate co-operators to join the BCCA Board of Directors! If you are interested, we encourage you to attend our upcoming information session to learn more about this opportunity to help shape the future of the co-op movement.
On the membership side, we’ll be sending out annual dues invoices in the coming weeks. Your support makes everything we do possible, from advocacy to education to growing the co-op ecosystem. Finally, I’m looking forward to our new member program – Mentorship Hour – a space for co-operators to connect, share experiences, and learn from one another.
