In the 2016-2017 Co-ops in Schools year high school students were tasked with identifying their community needs, assessing their individual and collective assets, and creating a co-op business plan that could help to address their needs.
Over the course of an 8-month period, university students taught high school students co-operative principles, examples of different co-operative businesses, and basic business lessons. The students’ business plans are below.
