PeerNetBC: Fall Workshop offerings

News

It’s that time of year again…we’re gearing up for our new Fall Line Up of courses here at PeerNetBC and wondering if you want to strengthen your facilitation skills. We’ve rejuvenated and restructured the curriculum which targets the participant needs in a way it didn’t before. They are more aligned with Peer Support Principles and we’ve incorporated ideas from you and others like you while we were at it. We’re pretty excited about it!

Here is a quick snapshot of our curriculum. Please note, most of these can be taken as stand-alone courses now and with one exception, are all aimed at group facilitation:

· Principles of Peer Support

· Community Mobilization

· Power & Diversity

· Leveling Power Imbalances

· Communication Skills

· Introduction to Facilitation

· Exploratiing Facilitation Skills

· Boundaries and Self Care

· Understanding Individual Learning Styles & Conflict Styles

· Avanced Leadership with Peer Support Principles

We’d love it if you also forwarded this email to anyone you think would want to start facilitating or strengthen their existing skills.
