Co-op Meetups

At BCCA we want to provide forums for our co-operative community to come together during these difficult times. In the coming days we will be offering a digital meet up series focused on issues specific to co-operative businesses. The meet ups will feature local co-operators and subject matter experts and provide plenty of opportunity for knowledge sharing among those in the call.

Thursday, May 28th @ 1PM (PDT): Assessing Your Co-operative Strategy

Now more than ever, it’s important to take a look at your co-operative strategy. With many businesses having to rapidly pivot in the past few months, this is the time take a close look at your co-operative strategy to ensure that you’re listening to your members and their needs and using that information to inform any potential strategic shifts. John Kay and Alison Marshall of Realize Strategies Co-op will be leading May 28th’s Co-op Meetup and guiding participants through a quick diagnostic co-operative strategy check to assess whether your current strategy is still the right fit for your co-op, if there’s a divergence between what your members want/need and what really happens in your service, program or deliverables, board and operational staff cohesion, and more.

Like previous Co-op Meetups, there is also an open discussion segment of the meetup for participants to bring forward any discussion topics or ideas they would like to share with the rest of the co-operative community. We look forward to seeing you on Thursday!
