Seeking Communications Coordinator

ACCA & BCCA is seeking an energetic and strategic Communications Coordinator. You will be supporting the work of a small but dedicated and fast-moving team of colleagues, working in offices throughout Alberta and BC, each needing communication support for a range of projects. You will assist the association with your savvy coordination and promotion skills for ACCA/BCCA events. Your communications plan will blend elements of public awareness of co-operatives, government relations, and internal and member event/program promotion.

Digital design & social media is your wheelhouse

The Communications Coordinator we are looking for is keen to contribute and grow attention to our brand, proactive and highly organized, passionate and dedicated. You are a self-starter. Developing digital and print marketing communications makes your heart race.  You have your favourite social media content management system, and you readily explore and quickly adopt new online platforms.

Skilled with website content & design

Strong writing and editing skills and experience with content management and organizational tools, and a can-do attitude are necessary skills, plus being creative and quick with the development of digital and marketing assets. With confidence, you can update and develop new website content and design – experience with WordPress is a must!

Our Ideal Communications Coordinator

It’s about the fit.  Our ideal Communications Coordinator is flexible, friendly and curious to learn more and communicate diverse messages to our members. Your values and attitude fit with the co-op movement and its identity, values and principles. You have completed post-secondary education in marketing/communication or public relations. Possess a  minimum of one to three years of experience helping organizations ramping up their communications a couple of notches.

This is a one-year contract – work from home – offering. There may be an opportunity to build this into a full-time long-term position before the contract ends. Having lived, worked and played in both Alberta and BC is an asset.
