Vancouver Co-op Radio

Vancouver Co-operative Radio, CFRO, 102.7FM is a non-commercial, co-operatively-owned, listener-supported, community radio station.

Located in the heart of Vancouver's Downtown Eastside, Co-op Radio is a voice for the voiceless that strives to provide a space for under-represented and marginalized communities. Co-op Radio aims to increase community participation by encouraging examination of the social and political concerns of the geographic and cultural communities of BC. ~ read more

Vancouver Island Heritage Foodservice Co-op

Vancouver Island Heritage Foodservice Co-op was launched at thefounding members meeting on February 17, 2008.

The co-op wasincorporated in November 2007 as a multi-stakeholder co-op. The purposeof the co-op is to mobilize partners to rebuild local food systems inthe Island Coastal region.  ~ read more

Victoria Women In Need Co-operative

There are few social enterprises that can claim the success of WIN. Seventeen years ago, Charlotte Semple, who had herself experienced abuse, decided to create an organization that could support the efforts of other women to remake their lives.

After asking around for donations, she and some friends, among them Carole Fast and Michelle Young, incorporated the nonprofit Victoria Women In Need Society. ~ read more
