Screening of Capitalism: A Love Story, Thursday, October 15, 7 PM, Fifth Avenue Cinemas. This special Co-op Week screening of Michael Moore’s new film will be followed by a panel discussion that includes Marc Lee, Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives; Geoff Meggs, City Councilor; and John Restakis, Executive Director, BCCA. Tickets for the screening will be available at the door. Please arrive early.

The final report for the Small Business – Doing Business with Government Project summarizes the feedback received from small business owners and representatives during the consultation process and the small business survey results. Based on that feedback, there are 12 recommendations for the B.C. government to implement to improve the process, tools, and supports for small business.

Showcasing Vancouver Island Social Enterprises

We’re excited to announce Vancouver Island’s very first Catalyst event- a showcase of Vancouver Island Social Enterprises coming this April 2, 2014 at the Belfry Theatre. Catalyst is an opportunity for social enterprises on Vancouver Island to pitch their best ideas and biggest challenges to a panel of expert judges in order to win cash and prizes.
